From Robotech, 64 of it's characters battled it out for almost 2 months until there were only 2 left.


The votes have been tallied...the percentages calculated.....and

Just like with the SDF-25 Mecha Tournament....a little sad to see this Tournament end. It saw a lot of classic matchups and some good times!

THE FINAL MATCH.....

Hello everyone!

On June 15th....64 Robotech characters stood up for a chance to make history in this 25th Anniversary!


Now the FINAL 2 are left standing..........


First, my gratitude to ALL OF YOU.......the voters......the people who have become part of this party that I have been having for the last 10 months.....you turned it from one fan's celebration...into a WORLDWIDE HAPPENING! More than anyone...EVEN THE CHARACTERS...it is all of you who deserve the applause! BRAVO!!!!


Now the two characters that through your votes have made it to this finale are as classic as they come...either is deserving of the title of champion!


But since the beginning of this tournament......IN THE END, THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!

THE FINAL FOUR.......

From 64......we have come down to the SEMI-FINALS, that last step towards the FINAL MATCH that will decide DA' CHAMP! 


Hey all!


It's become a roller coaster ride......people chiming in with their thoughts.....making those votes....and yet, it hurts having to move on and leaving some awesome characters behind....


But in the end......there can only be ONE..........

And there are four Robotech characters that have a chance to be just that..........


Let's take a look at what happened in the QUARTER FINALS, shall we?

I had Marie taking it all........but going up against The Lonely Soldier Boy?...Someone tell Michael Bradley he may have a curtain call coming up soon when all this is over........


MAX STERLING 53%

This one went to the very end and probably one of the most contested matches of this tournament.... in the end.....Max maintains his 25 year reign over his wife.....but they still love each other!


LYNN MINMEI 34%

BREETAI 66%

The "LOVE MINNEI TOUR" comes to an end.......and the "BREETAI 2010 CAMPAIGN" is heading for that ultimate goal......THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!

The voting was intense.....truly a WORLDWIDE EVENT.......


Thank you to all....not just for the tournament...but for making the last 10 months a real Robotech party here on The Protoculture Times! Just a bunch of people with one objective.....to celebrate the hell out of 25 years!


And the best part about, with something like this.....we the fans are an active part of the celebration


Round 3 of The Character Clash saw some of the most classic matchups that you could find in ANY Robotech Character Tournament final match and it's a shame to see some of them go!

***UPDATE 07/05/10 ----- LOOKS like Blogger fixed the problem with the polls......HOWEVER....I am not totally convinced so I am leaving the polls in this post open for voting and the ones on the right also open for voting.....so technically...you can VOTE TWICE. It seems the polls are not registering votes.....if you vote...you can probably see on "VOTES SO FAR" just 1 vote.....I have confirmation that more votes than that has been placed but not showing up in the overall total.
